When Nathan saw Penny and Kylie being succumbed, and Ava hurt, wrath overtook him.
He directed his vengeful glare at Red Spider.
“The Gates of Hell again?”
Red Spider was sitting on Penny's office chair, toying with a fountain pen. “You're quite right. The Fallen Angel, he's my boyfriend, you know.”
“Yes, I killed him, but it seems like you've not learned any lesson from his death.”
Red Spider scoffed. “You're the one who should've learned your lesson, but it'll be too late for you to do that now.”
“Are you sure? Who are you to say that?”
“It seems like you're still unaware that I have your wife and her little cousin in my hands. I can end their lives right this instance. I wonder if you’re willing to trade their lives for yours?”
Penny and Kylie were getting anxious.
“Nathan! Don't! We'd rather die than put you in danger!”
“Yes, Nathan. You should avenge our deaths if anything happens to us. We don't want anything to happen to you,” Kylie said.
Red Spider scorned, looking at them. From the information she received, Nathan loved his wife devotedly. She knew this man would not just watch his wife die before him.
“What about you make things easier for us? You just need to kneel down before me on the count of three, and I'll spare both your wife and your cousin-in-law.”
Red Spider did not give Nathan much time to think.
“Three...”
A voice suddenly came from Nathan's wireless earpiece. It was Colin.
“Mr. Cross, the snipers are already in place, but the people are too experienced. They're all hidden in our blind spots. We can't locate them, but don't worry. I'm already outside the window on the floor directly above the office. I'm about to break in now.”
“All right.”
Red Spider was still counting down when she heard Nathan.
