Out of the corner of his eyes, Bowen saw a few bodyguards removing the body of the man who had been killed by the golfball.
His expression changed ever so slightly.
If the general population of businessmen were cunning wolves, then Quentin was definitely a cruel and evil one.
Scheming and deception were common tactics in the world of business. However, it seemed that the chairman preferred to use violence to resolve his problems.
Even though Quentin loved violence, he was not a stupid man. On the contrary, he was extremely intelligent.
One look and he could tell what Bowen was thinking. With a smile, he said, “Mr. Camden, you must think that I am a very violent man. It's true! My motto is violence cannot solve problems, but it can eliminate problematic people!”
Bowen smiled. There was no denying that he hailed from Eurasia. He disliked the extremes and preferred to settle matters using the golden mean. He replied casually, “Mr. Perez, my purpose in coming here to meet you is to discuss our collaboration.”
“Our collaboration will be very straightforward. You acquire Cross Corporation and work with Novah Pharmaceutical Company. We will monopolize the cancer vaccine market and split the profits equally.”
Bowen thought to himself. If I can get my daughter to come home and obtain full control of Cross Corporation, why would I still need to work with you?
He responded calmly, "My daughter refuses to acknowledge me as her father. To make matters worse, Nathan is sowing discord between us. There is no way I can seize control of Cross Corporation from my daughter.”
A regretful look appeared on Quentin's face. “Mr. Camden, you have encountered some issues! But not to worry, I can finish Nathan off for you. If need be, I will kill your daughter and granddaughter as well. Once your daughter is dead, as her father, you will inherit her company.”
Bowen's heart went cold.
He was not as vicious as Quentin. With some hesitation, he replied, “Please don't kill my daughter. You just need to get rid of Nathan and bring her and my granddaughter back to me. I have ways to make my daughter comply.”
Quentin shook his head. “You are quite bothersome, Mr. Camden.
Anyway, since that is what you ask for, we will do it your way. However, once we have settled everything, we will split the profits at seventy and thirty. I will get seventy and you, thirty.”
What?
Bowen widened his eyes in disbelief.
The two men looked at one another in silence.
In the end, Bowen conceded and agreed. “Fine!”
“Great!”
