Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2353

Nathan was initially furious with Thomas. However, upon learning that his loyal subordinate had refused to betray him earlier, he found his anger giving way to disappointment at the pitiful sight of Thomas who was covered in blood and had been beaten to within an inch of his life.

Nathan stepped forth and scanned around before his gaze fell on Derrick.

“So, it was you who have been pulling the strings in the dark?”

Derrick did not expect Nathan to arrive at Marsingfill.

As shocked as he was, Derrick regained his composure quickly.

Upon returning to his senses, he wore on a faint smile. “I've already drawn up a long, complicated plan to deal with you. Since you’re already here, let's resolve this the hard way, then.”

“Any last words?” Nathan asked flatly.

“I've heard of how arrogant you are, Mr. Cross. I guess the rumor downplays your arrogance. Don't be overconfident and jump to the conclusion.”

“No last words, then.” Nathan turned to address his subordinates. “Men! Take them down!”

“Yes, Mr. Cross!”

Colin and the Elite Eight sprang into action.

Derrick snapped his fingers. “Send them to hell,” he ordered coldly.

The mercenaries in his employ charged toward Nathan's men.

In an instant, a battle commenced.

Derrick turned to the five exceptional fighters. “I want all five of you to take Nathan down. This is not the time to be holding back. You know the extent of his abilities. It is imperative that we subdue him today.”

“Yes, Master!”

Armed with brass knuckles, steel crutches, the ability to shift in and out of the shadows like a phantom, a scimitar, and a long sword respectively, Buster, Liamme, Counsellor, Quasi, and Scholar made a beeline for Nathan.

Like an enraged beast, Buster charged ahead and reached Nathan first. “Prepare to face your death!” he bellowed as he swung a fist at Nathan.

With a grunt of disdain, Nathan raised his own fist.

Bang’.

Nathan's fist collided with an almighty crunch against Buster's brass knuckles.
