Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2372

Wesson almost fainted when he found out who he was on the phone with.

His hands started quivering, but he still held on to his phone.

“A-ah,” he stuttered. “It's Mr. Glades.

H-hello, Mr. Glades.”

“May I know who's speaking?” It was Melvin's turn to ask questions.

It took Wesson a good minute to say he was the vice-principal of a medical university in the South.

Melvin was upset when he found out that a small fry like Wesson dared to talk to him so impolitely.

“Are you drunk, Mr. Kane? I can't believe you called me and talked with such a tone!” Melvin sounded irritated. “You should at least respect your superiors. Also, how did you even get my emergency contact number?”

It dawned upon Wesson that he was in deep waters when Melvin asked this question.

When he heard this, he hurriedly apologized, “I'm sorry, Mr. Glades. I honestly didn't know this was your phone number. Someone tricked me into doing this. He's, urn...”

Wesson realized he did not even know Nathan's name.

“Nathan Cross.” Nathan filled in the blank for him.

“Ah! Yes. Nathan Cross,” Wesson quickly parroted into the phone. “He's the one who gave me this number because he's been creating a scene here at a reunion dinner I organized. He said some really nasty things and even beat up an international student. I asked to talk to his boss, so he gave me this number. He's clearly pulling my leg.”

Melvin's jaw dropped the moment he heard Nathan's name.

Although Nathan's identity as the Chief Military Governor was still a secret to the public, senior officials in Eurasia were all informed of this classified information.

As the Minister of Education, Melvin clearly knew who Nathan was.

He bit his lip the moment he realized how grave the situation was.

“Shut up, Wesson Kane,” he said immediately.
