Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2486

Nathan turned to Colin. “Gather the Elite Eight and Eighteen Riders. Tell Fang, Destroyer, and Heptakill to gather their elite troops from the North Army. Tomorrow, we shall head to Volk.”

Colin responded, “Yes, Sir!”

Right then, over a dozen soldiers from Volk were patrolling the borders. They were currently resting by the road.

Some were squatting, and some had plopped their butts to the ground. They smoked, replenished themselves with water, and chatted happily.

The topic of their conversation revolved around Lucas, the Eurasian who bit off more than he could chew by leading his elite troops to launch a sneak attack on Isaiah, Volk's God of War. Isaiah ended up wiping his troops out, and Lucas was forced to flee the scene.

The leader of the patrolling team held his water bottle and waved his other hand excitedly. “Lucas managed to escape in time. Otherwise, Isaiah would've chopped his head off. He didn't go past our area when he escaped. Otherwise, if I were to run into him, I would've chopped his head off. The Dragon of the West? Pfft, he's nothing but a caterpillar!

Haha...”

The people living by the borders of Eurasia and Volk spoke similar languages and had similar accents, so they could understand each other.

The leader was boasting to his members when he heard a rustling sound from the bushes not far away.

At once, he grew wary and demanded, “What is that?”

The other Volkian soldiers had their guard up, too. It was normal to run into wild boars here, but there would be drug dealers and illegal migrants occasionally.

The leader grabbed his sub-machine gun and stared ahead intently. “Who is it? Show yourself! Otherwise, we shall fire our guns!”

Right after he said that, a tall figure exuding a menacing aura materialized before them. He was wearing military boots and holding a spear.

The man was none other than Lucas, Dragon of the West, who had sneaked into Volk to avenge his comrades.

The leader and his teammates didn't recognize Lucas, but his uniform was obviously the Eurasian military uniform.

At once, they tensed up and raised their sub-machine guns.
