No one could continue to sit on their hands.
Ariarica wanted to take half of Cross Group's income, and that was already something Cross Group found hard to accept.
Now, Ariarica was demanding to get the full rights to use Cross Group's patented product. Their demand was affecting Cross Group's survival.
Cross Group was able to soar to great heights because of their cancer medication and vaccine.
If they were to give those patents to Ariarica, then Ariarica would soon come up with all kinds of new cancer vaccines and medications. By then, Cross Group would have trouble surviving in the industry.
Fury was written all over Penny's face, and she instantly rejected, “Sorry, but you Ariaricans are crossing the lines. You're essentially robbing us. We won't be agreeing to such ridiculous demands.”
Jemma sneered. “No one has the capability to reject our offer—not Cross Group nor other major companies of Eurasia. I remember there is a saying in Eurasia which goes: Stand against me, and only death awaits you. If you don't agree to my terms and choose to go up against us, I swear that your company will be sanctioned. Your stocks will plummet, and in the end, you'll be left with no company.”
Penny paled, and so did the other senior management employees of Cross Group.
If Cross Group were sanctioned, then their stocks would indeed plummet. As a matter of fact, their international trading channels would probably be cut off.
Cross Group could still survive with just the local market, but it would certainly not be able to return to its former glorious state.
They would have to transform from a leading pharmaceutical company into an ordinary small company.
Penny's net worth would be ten times lesser than her original worth of hundreds of billions.
Jemma took out a document and threw it at Penny as if she was giving to a beggar, albeit reluctantly. The document landed beside Penny's feet, and Jemma huffed arrogantly, “If you don't want to be sanctioned—if you don’t want to be destroyed—then work with us. Pick that up and sign it.”
Penny gritted her teeth.
Just as she was about to voice her rejection, someone opened the door to the meeting room.
In the next second, Nathan led Colin into the room.
“Ha, your country is really a nation established by a group of robbers. You want everything nice without having to work hard for it. What a pity that your thieving tricks won't work here.”
Jemma stared at the uninvited newcomer in shock and anger. Once she recomposed herself, she hissed, “Who are you? Who do you think you are to speak here?”
