Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2553

In the middle of the sea, Max stood on the deck of Ariarica's aircraft carrier, looking all smug.

Behind him, insignia glittered off military uniforms, all of them globally-renowned generals in the Ariarica military.

Around the aircraft carrier were tons of corvettes, and further out were ships belonging to Ariarica's allies. It was a grand sight that made an imposing display.

Their fighter jets soared in the air, while their submarines glided under the sea.

The lineup of the joint military exercise this time could be described as luxurious.

It was no exaggeration to say that the battle gear for their military exercise then was sufficient to lay waste to the majority of the small and mediumsized countries in the world.

Right that moment, Max's deputy, Shearson, reported deferentially, “Admiral Max, we’re approaching Eurasia's waters. Should we stop here or continue forward?”

According to the usual practice, the

entry of military troops into another country's territory was tantamount to an invasion. It was an exceedingly grave matter.

However, Max wasn’t the least bit bothered about that.

He lifted his chin and ordered arrogantly, “Continue forward and enter their waters to conduct our military exercise. Only then will our simulated military exercise be meaningful. Besides, we're here this time to put pressure on them. Entering their waters will terrorize them even more and create greater fear.”

“Understood, Admiral Max! But Admiral Max, should we notify Eurasia that we're entering their waters to prevent any misjudgment?” Shearson inquired.

In response, Max sneered, “We're sailing freely, so why should we notify them? Are we supposed to gain their approval? Are they even worthy of it? As for the misjudgment you mentioned, I don't think it’ll happen. They don't have the guts to go head-to-head with us. At most, they'll only protest verbally.”

“All right, then. I'll do as per your instructions, Admiral Max,” Shearson replied.

Soon, Max's order was conveyed to all the ships, including those of its allies.

But as soon as their ships entered Eurasia's waters, their airborne early warning aircraft and sonar vessels started blaring frenziedly.

Sweating profusely, Shearson dashed over and reported to Max in a panic, “Bad news, Admiral Max! A large number of armed forces appeared right ahead, and foreign fighter jets appeared in the sky! The movement of foreign submarines has also been detected underwater!”

Max and his subordinates were all stunned to hear that, their eyes almost popping out of their heads.

“Could it be that Eurasia's Southern Fleet came out in full force?” Max quickly demanded.
