Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2555

In Alberesque in the South of Eurasia, the negotiation between Eurasia and Ariarica's representatives was still in progress.

On that very day, Jessica's attitude was exceedingly forceful.

Staring at Zion and the other representatives of Eurasia sitting across from her frostily, she haughtily proclaimed, “This is the last chance I'm giving you. Our carrier battle group has already arrived. If you refuse to give in, I can't guarantee whether our carrier battle group will make a move.” Zion had always been an elegant and easy-going person, but his expression instantly darkened the instant he heard that.

With a rare stony expression on his face, his tone likewise turned hard, and he questioned sternly, “Ms. Jessica, are you aware that you're now representing your country, so what is the meaning of your words? Are you threatening us now?”

Jessica exchanged a glance with her subordinates before all of them sneered.

Snorting, she asserted, “I'm warning you! Of course, if you want to take it as a threat, you may do so. If you don't agree to our decision to hike the tariffs and refuse to cooperate with us in punishing the Eurasian companies, I can't guarantee whether a conflict will break out. For instance, an armed conflict.”

In a rare occurrence, Zion's blood boiled.

“Hah! It appears that you're still dreaming, thinking that we'll allow you to bully us arbitrarily as you did in the past. Let me tell you that you're wrong. Besides, such a mentality is very dangerous,” he stated coldly.

Jerking up her chin, Jessica scoffed, “We're not the ones in danger. Instead, it's you. Our aircraft carrier, ships, submarines, and jets are already at your doorstep and might make a move anytime.”

The atmosphere promptly turned tense.

Many had their gazes fixated on Zion, wondering whether a war would break out if the negotiation this time were to fold and whether Eurasia had the ability to hold its own against Ariarica and its allies if that were to happen.

Zion and Jessica stared into each other's eyes, their gazes clashing like lightning. It was as though flames might burst out of their eyes at anytime.

Suddenly, Zion sneered, “Heh! Ms. Jessica, do you think that you can scare us with your carrier battle group and allied fleets? You probably haven't received the latest news from the frontlines, huh?”
