Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2572

“Mr. Cross!” Zed exclaimed.

Nathan responded with a smile.

“Why, if it isn't Zed Walker! What a coincidence.”

“I just came back from a conference and happened to pass by here,” Zed replied courteously. “What happened, Mr. Cross?”

Renzo was still thinking that Zed would help him teach Nathan and Colin a lesson since they knew each other.

However, he didn't expect Nathan to know Zed, and the two men had even struck up a conversation.

In fact, Zed looked like he was buttering up to Nathan.

Feeling nervous, Renzo asked, “Do you know this man, Captain Walker? You know what? Even if you do know each other, I'm still not going to let him off this easily. I have never been humiliated like this before and I’m not leaving until I break his legs!”

Zed's expression instantly darkened at that. “Who the hell do you think you are, Renzo Zachman? How dare you threaten someone else in front of me? Are you disregarding me and the nation's laws?”

Renzo hurriedly explained himself because he didn't want to offend Zed. “That's not what I meant! It's just... It's just that this man humiliated me first! I can't just let him off like that!”

Zed bellowed, “Shut up! Do you know who Mr. Cross is?”

Looking at the stern expression on Zed's face, Renzo finally realized that Nathan wasn't someone that he could mess with.

Despite being anxious and scared, he replied arrogantly, “I don't care who he is!”

“What did you just say?” Zed whispered in a menacing tone.

Renzo's face turned pale as cold beads of sweat trickled down from his forehead.

Thump!

Renzo knelt on the ground instantly.

Crawling toward Nathan, he cried, “I'm sorry, Mr. Cross. I deserve to die!

I shouldn't have bullied Ms. Sofie and threatened you...”

Zed hurriedly drew the line between him and Renzo. “No, I only met him a few times on dinner occasions. I don't know him well. You can check if you want, Mr. Cross.”

“I'm glad to know that you're not in cahoots with him. Bring him back to the police station and investigate him. He must be punished accordingly and cannot be spared just because he has connections,” Nathan said.

“Understood, Mr. Cross,” Zed replied.

Turning to his men, he ordered, “Take him to the hospital to address his wounds. After that, bring him to the station.” “Yes, Captain Walker!” With that, Renzo was taken away by the policemen swiftly.

After they left, Nathan turned to Sofie and said, “Welcome to Eurasia, Ms. Sofie. The public security in Eurasia is actually very good. I hope you won't have any misunderstandings because of what happened just now.”

Sofie looked at Nathan, who was friendlier than he was back when she met him at the palace in Remdik.

Now that he's not being so formal, he seems more like a real person.

She smiled at him playfully and replied, “I had my doubts just now, but after you helped me, I have now regained confidence in Eurasia's security.”

Nathan, Colin, and Maya grinned from ear to ear upon hearing that.
