A while later, the sedan sped away and disappeared from sight.
Right after its departure, a few military vehicles showed up. They had received Franklin's order to clean the scene up.
Soon, Colin and the rest brought Dip to the Channing Military Base.
In Franklin’s office, Nathan was sitting on a chair with his hand on his chin.
He turned the globe on the desk idly and stared at it.
Franklin and a few officers from Channing military district stood aside respectfully. They dared not even breathe loudly in fear of disturbing him.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps came from the corridor outside.
Callan strode in to report, “Sir, General Wilson. Colin has successfully captured Dip. He has just brought Dip back here.”
Nathan stopped fiddling with the globe and looked up. “Tell Colin to bring him in,” he ordered calmly.
“Yes, sir.” Callan left to carry out his
order.
Shortly after, Colin and three of the Elite Eight escorted Dip into the office.
At the sight of him, Nathan flashed a smile. “How have you been, Mr.
Turner?”
Dip shuddered fearfully when he saw Nathan.
Inwardly, he was cursing nonstop. Can't he see the bloodstain on my clothes. How have I been ? What kind of question is that? Isn't it obvious?
Of course, he dared not say his thoughts out loud.
Flashing a bitter smile, he uttered despondently, “Nathan, I can't believe I fell into your hands yet again.”
