However, his eyes lit up when he saw Penny who was sitting next to Nathan, and a sinister smile formed on his lips.
He then stopped singing and glared at Nathan's table as he shouted angrily, “Hey, you guys! That's right. I'm talking to you! Why aren't you guys clapping for me? Do you know who I am? I'm Carrey Peking Holmes!”
All eyes were on Nathan and his friends in an instant.
One of Carrey's subordinates that was wearing an eyepatch began making his way toward Nathan.
The guy with the eyepatch glared fiercely at them with his one eye as he yelled, “Hey! Don't you guys hear Carrey talking to you, huh?”
Fang and the others had gloomy looks on their faces. They were about to tear the man a new one, but Nathan motioned at them to stand down, as he didn’t want any trouble.
“Yes? Is there something we can help you with?” Nathan asked calmly while looking up at the man.
“Our boss is asking why you guys didn't clap for him! Everyone else is doing it!” said the man with the eyepatch.
Nathan chuckled. “I came here to have a drink, not listen to him sing. We're not even complaining about how his terrible singing is ruining our drinking session, so why would we applaud him?”
The man with the eyepatch stared at Nathan in disbelief. “Are you not from around here or something? How dare you talk to our boss like that?”
“You're right. I am indeed not from around here. I only started working here in more recent years. Is there a problem with that?” Nathan replied with a smile.
Before the man with the eyepatch could even respond, Carrey had jumped down the stage and came over with a group of his men.
“So, it seems that you don't know who I am, punk. It's no wonder you'd have the guts to disrespect me! But, don’t worry, for I'll be sure to have you remember my name tonight! In fact, you'll never forget it for the rest of your life!” he said while narrowing his small eyes.
Nathan let out a chuckle upon hearing that. “I'm afraid that's not possible.
I'm always busy with work, and I come across tons of people every day. There's no way I'd be able to remember someone like you.”
Carrey said with a sinister leer, “Heh... How about I break your legs and have you spend the rest of your life in a wheelchair? Maybe that'll help you remember me!"
Nathan arched an eyebrow at him in response. “Blatantly making such a threat in the capital city of the country? You sure are a bold one! Do you not have any regard for the law at all?”
Carrey burst out laughing on the spot. “The law? Hey, you guys hear that?
