Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2616

Hamish saw how quickly hatred burned in Carrey's eyes after he mentioned Nathan's title. Hence, he took advantage of the situation and said, “The truth is, Dad still has a shot at it. I have an idea. There is something we can do to prevent Nathan from being the president. Once Nathan is out of the picture, Dad will most likely become the next president.”

Carrey immediately asked, “What can we do to make that happen? Tell me!”

Hamish got closer and whispered into Carrey's ears. “Nathan's wife, Penny, is leading a cancer medication research team of Cross Group to devise a treatment plan to cure President Woods. I recently learned that the drug they are going to give the president has not undergone human trials. In other words, Penny and the team are not officially allowed to distribute the drugs or put them on the shelves. It's still undergoing development.”

Hamish paused for a few seconds before continuing, “What do you think will happen if something were to happen to the drugs, and President Woods was killed because of that? Penny is the one who gives the president a drug that has not been legally approved, and if the drug causes the president's demise... Imagine what the people will say about her. Since she is Nathan's wife and is the one responsible for administering the drug for the president, her fall will drag Nathan down as well.”

Carrey's eyes widened when he heard that.

Hamish grinned and further stated, “Nathan will be in trouble, and he won't be able to deny the part he played in President Woods' death. No one will want him as the president, and he will probably even lose his position as the Chief Military

Governor once the news reaches the citizens.”

Carrey's eyes glowed, but he quickly calmed down. He dissed, “Your story is fascinating, Hamish, but it is all rooted in whether Penny's drug will kill the president. If she is not responsible for his death, then nothing will change.”

Hamish grinned. “That is where you shine, Carrey.”

“Me? What are you talking about?” asked Carrey in confusion.

Hamish kept smiling. “If I remember correctly, you have quite a few friends. Some of them are royal physicians who are a part of Royal Medical Department responsible for curing President Woods. If you get your friend to mess with Penny's drugs, the president will be killed by the drugs, and then everything I said earlier will come true.”

Carrey's eyes instantly bulged. He gasped and blurted, “What the f*ck? How dare you come up with an idea as shitty as this? How could you ask me to cause harm to the president—"

Hamish struck while the iron was hot. He continued by saying, “There's also the problem of how I am not friends with those royal physicians. You know them much better, so you can bribe or blackmail them into helping. I'm sure they will listen to you. I, on the other hand, will have a hard time getting them to obey me. That is why I am counting on you for this.” Carrey narrowed his eyes before he said, “I guess you're right. It's just... Forcing those royal physicians to cooperate with us will take a lot of manpower and money. I have wasted too much of both these past few years, so I have run out of everything!”

Hamish immediately offered, “I haven't been spending as much, Carrey. I mean... I don't have much, but I can spare a billion or so. As for manpower... I've trained a team of elite. I call them the Blood Warriors. For your sake and the sake of this mission, I will give you my Blood Warriors and money.”

Carrey was delighted to hear that. He agreed right away. “Deal! You have spared no effort to help me, and a real man will not let that effort go to waste. Don't worry. I will accomplish this mission and help our dad become the president.”

Hamish cheered, “Hell yeah! There is nothing that can't be done if we work together.”

Carrey grinned evilly. “Nathan will be the one to fall this time.”
