Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2701

The blonde man said nothing. Carrying his black suitcase, he calmly got out of the taxi.

The captain of the special police force noticed that the foreigner was tall and seemed cold. There were no emotions in his eyes, and it seemed like something was wrong.

Instantly, he motioned for his men to surround the passenger.

At the same time, he spoke, “Can you speak English? We need to check your identity, so we hope you can cooperate with us.”

However, the mysterious man did not move nor say anything.

The captain exchanged looks with a few of his colleagues. Frowning, he secretly reached into his gun holster and placed his hand on its handle. In a low voice, he stated, “Stand there without moving. We will examine your belongings. Do you understand?”

Yet, the man continued to remain silent.

Then, the captain gave a hand signal to the policewoman standing beside him.

Immediately, she understood. She cautiously stepped forward and reached out to take the suitcase from the passenger. Then, she took a few steps backward before squatting down to open it.

To her surprise, she found different daggers packed neatly in the suitcase. She also discovered two pistols, a submachine gun, a grenade, and a time bomb.

The policewoman took a sharp breath and stood up in shock.

Drawing her gun out, she aimed it straight at the blonde man.

At that sight, the rest of the police force mirrored her movements to aim their guns at the suspicious man.

Without looking away from his target, the captain bellowed, “What’s the situation, Millie?”

Millie looked nervous as she reported, “There are many weapons in the suitcase. He has daggers, guns, and also bombs.”

What?

Upon hearing that, the special police at the scene cocked their guns and locked them on the mysterious man.

Meanwhile, the taxi driver was dumbstruck.

With that, he picked up his suitcase and turned to leave.

Before he left the scene, he spoke again, “Pick up the gun on the ground and pull the trigger on yourself.”

The driver fearfully pleaded, “No!”

Regardless, he lost all sensation in his body. Like a robot, he bent down to pick up the gun. Then, he pointed it into his mouth and pulled the trigger.

Bang!

Another gunshot sounded before he collapsed onto the ground like the police force.

Meanwhile, Fate continued walking unhurriedly toward the city, and he soon disappeared into the darkness.

He was Fate, the leader of the team formed for Project Dragon Slayer.
