For the next few days, according to customs, Nathan started visiting the major states in the country.
However, as the man was used to keeping a low profile, he had given orders not to make it a grand affair and not to cause any disturbance to the citizens.
In fact, Nathan was planning to go under the disguise of an ordinary citizen and mingle among the crowd in order to get a more accurate picture of a civilian's life.
The first stop of his inspection tour
was the North.
Even though Nathan was not from the North, he had served in the military there and that was also where he had started rising to power. Besides, many of his old subordinates were still there. The North was just like the man's second home and would always have a special place in his heart.
Also, the North was not faring well in terms of its economy as compared to the other states.
As such, Nathan had decided that the first stop would be the North.
The President's trip to the North only lasted three days as nothing eventful happened.
Next, Nathan arrived at the East.
As the East was the man's hometown, he had fond feelings for the area as well.
The East was much more prosperous than the North.
However, that night, when Nathan, Penny, Colin, Ava, and the Elite Eight were shopping along the streets of Jinrich, a city in the East, something unpleasant happened.
It all started when Nathan and the others noticed a street that was especially bustling.
As they had assumed that it was just a cultural street that was popular among the locals, they headed over to check it out.
After entering the street, the group realized that it was a Jetroinian cultural street.
The shops on both sides of the street were all designed in Jetroinian style. The people walking along the streets were also dressed in Jetroinian traditional costumes. Looking at the scene in front of him, Nathan furrowed his brows.
Penny knew that, as a soldier, Nathan did not like Jetroina.
As such, she said softly, “Oh, this seems like ajetroinian cultural street. I don't think there is anything interesting to see here. Let's go somewhere else.”
Nathan nodded and was about to leave with the others when a middle-aged man with a bulging tummy stepped in front of them, blocking their way.
