Colin, the Elite Eight, and other guards arrived only after the whole thing was over.
When Colin saw the bloodstain and the body on the ground, he quickly apologized for coming late. “I'm sorry, President Cross. I should've come earlier.”
“No worries. I didn't ask any of you to come along because I was just taking a stroll.”
While they were talking, a broken Mercedes-Benz was driven back to where they were.
Ava had already killed Bentley.
Once the car stopped, Ava stepped out, lugging Bentley's body from the car. “President Cross, I hunted him down for about one and a half miles until I finished him off. Here is his body,” she said, throwing it to the ground.
“I want you to stay with Penny if this happens again,” Nathan said coldly.
It was then that Ava realized that she had been distracted by the enemy.
Her face changed instantly. “I will.”
Meanwhile, Colin and the rest secured the scene for investigation. When he saw the body of the old foreigner, he was equally shocked. “So this is Karlis?”
“Who's Karlis?” Nathan was confused.
“Oh, we got intel from the intelligence department and the three thousand white hats that he was related to all frequent disappearance of people in Jinrich. They found out that most of the missing people are young women. All of them liked dressing up as foreign characters and they all met a handsome foreigner on the cultural street. It was said they fell in love with this man before they went missing, so we looked into this guy and found out that his name is Karlis,” Colin reported.
He paused for a moment before resuming slowly. “We even found out on the dark web that he was a known vampire in his home country.”
Nathan was startled.
