Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2774

Soon, Nathan, Szymon, and the rest arrived at the side hall.

Even though it was the side hall of the castle, it was still very spacious. The decorations inside the hall were equally grand and luxurious.

All around the hall stood countless people.

There were even many knights standing in the courtyard outside the hall.

It appeared as though everyone living in the estate had been summoned over.

Szymon intentionally showed them off to Nathan. “All of my guests and knights have heard of your visit, Mr. Cross. All of them are beyond excited to see you in person.”

Scanning the crowd in front of him, Nathan merely smiled without saying a word.

Szymon and Nathan took a seat at the table respectively as the host and the guest. Once they were seated, a servant came forward and poured them some tea.

Szymon took a sip of black tea before flashing Nathan and Penny a halfsmile. “So, Mr. and Mrs. Cross, what brings you here to my estate today? Is there something you'd like to tell me?”

Nathan casually stated, “There's nothing we'd like to tell you, but there is something we’d like to discuss with Your Grace.”

“What is it?” Szymon feigned ignorance.

Nathan did not answer. He picked up the teacup and began sipping his tea before casually commanding Carlos, “Ambassador Knight, please explain the situation to His Grace!”

Carlos immediately stood up and recounted everything briefly.

At the end of his recount, Carlos looked at Szymon solemnly. “Your Grace, I know that you have incredible authority and influence. There are even multiple companies under your control. Robin Security is just one of the many businesses that you own. I also believe that with your identity and status, Your Grace would most definitely not do something as shameful as conning us out of our national treasure.”

When Szymon heard that, his face immediately became twisted, but there was nothing he could say.

On the other hand, Nathan smiled slightly. He had always thought that Carlos was not competent enough. He was even considering firing that useless prick once the whole thing was over.

Yet, at that moment, Carlos' performance was beyond his expectation.
