Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 278

After Nathan finished listening to Kylie's reports, he turned his icy gaze onto the very-unattractive-looking Hector Packwood. "How dare you threaten my wife?" he hissed.

Hector just stood there stuttering, unable to form any proper words.

He was someone who had a certain status in society, so rarely was he ever so pathetic.

But he couldn't help it. He had just seen what happened to Zander, Henry, and Chase with his very own eyes. It had become very clear to him that in Channing, whatever Nathan said was the law.

Nathan frowned as he watched the pathetic human in front of him stuttering and finally lost his patience after a few seconds. "Answer me!" he roared, as he raised his hand and delivered a harsh slap across Hector's face.

Smack! One side of Hector's face immediately swelled up.

Hector had never suffered in such a manner before, but he understood he had to behave in front of Nathan. He clutched his stinging face and cried, "Mr. Cross, Ms. Smith, I know I've made a mistake. Please, forgive me..."

"Weren't you all arrogant and smug when you threatened my wife earlier? Where did all that hubris go?” Nathan scoffed.

Hector looked down at his feet. "I..."

Nathan turned to look at Lincoln. "Perverts like him need to be taught a lesson. You shall arrange it, and make sure it's a lesson he'll never forget.”

Lincoln racked his brain trying to think of an 'unforgettable lesson' for Hector. Soon, his eyes lit up as he thought of the perfect idea.

He grinned slyly at Nathan. "Mr. Cross, old perverts like him would be well suited for holding cell No. 010"

Nathan and the rest were very puzzled. Why cell No. 010?

Lincoln chuckled as he lowered his voice and explained. "Cell No. 010 holds a handful of very large, very burly men who came from the West. Gay men to be exact. They were apprehended because they were getting handsy with other male patrons at a bar."

"A few days ago, a man under suspicion for multiple counts of theft was detained. There weren't any empty holding cells, so they placed him in cell No. 010. Next thing we know, he had been forced to service each and every one of those gay men!"

Penny, Kylie, and the rest all looked horrified at this piece of news.

As for Hector, he stood frozen to the floor without a drop of color on his face.
