At the same time, countless armed helicopters and transports carrying special forces approached, covering the sky with their sheer numbers.
Inside Blackbeard's manor, he was waiting with anticipation for his reinforcements to rescue him.
However, instead of their long-awaited arrival, all he heard was the faint sound of explosions from outside.
He quickly realized something was amiss, especially when the sound of the explosions was coming from the direction of his pirate base.
With a drastic change in expression, he exclaimed in horror, “What's going on?”
Nathan plainly replied, “Nothing really, other than the sound of my navy blowing up your headquarters to kingdom come.”
Nathan's words caused Blackbeard to shudder. “You're lying! My gang has thousands of pirates and a massive cache of weapons. Destroying my base is nothing but wishful thinking.”
Nathan smirked. “You're nothing but a bunch of loose cannons that plunder merchant ships. And yet, you think so highly of yourself? It just takes minutes for me to eradicate your pirate gang.”
Refusing to believe Nathan, Blackbeard refuted at the top of his voice, “Impossible. There's no way you can do it. Go on and continue bluffing.”
Nathan replied in an indifferent tone, “It might take you a decade to know that you've been tricked by a fortune teller, but my words can be validated in the next few minutes.”
Nathan had barely finished when he looked at his watch. “Given the time now, I suppose my men have already arrived.”
No sooner had he spoken than the whirring sounds of a helicopter rotor tore through the sky.
It was followed by the rattling of gunshots that resulted in agonizing screams.
Peering out the window in shock, Blackbeard was greeted by the sight of countless helicopters hovering in the air.
Some were focused on attacking, while others unloaded the special forces they carried.
