The Ghost Ship?
Nathan frowned upon hearing that. The name felt unfamiliar, for it was his first time hearing it.
Kraven, too, looked at a loss. He did not understand why Lothar would be captured by the Ariarican military. What made him more puzzled was the fact that Ariarica's military had imprisoned Lothar on this Ghost Ship. What are they trying to do?
Colin then continued, “Sir, I've heard some rumors about this Ghost Ship before.”
Curious, Nathan asked, “Let's hear it.”
“Mr. Cross, surely you know about Ariarica's famous Project Genesis?”
Nathan nodded. “Yes. Ariarica's Project Genesis is actually a research project to produce super-soldiers. Not only did they produce super-soldiers in this project, but they also created many war machines and elite human beings. For example, Ariarica's famous Five-star General, Max, is apparently the most perfect and strongest super-soldier they have.”
Colin nodded. “That's right. Project Genesis' purpose is to keep producing super-soldiers for Ariarica, creating endless batches of battlefield monsters for them. The truth is, Ariarica has another similar project. In the past twenty years, Ariarica has been conducting another project apart from Project Genesis called Project Ragnarok.”
Both Nathan and Kraven were stunned.
Nathan asked, “What's Project Ragnarok?”
Colin answered, “Apparently, it's another project that researches super-soldiers as it's meant to compete against Project Genesis. When Ariarica first wanted to create super-soldiers, two companies with military backgrounds each submitted a proposal. One was named Project Genesis, and the other, Project Ragnarok. Ariarica accepted both proposals at the same time, giving them full support. Thus, Project Genesis and Project Ragnarok were launched at the same time. The two companies immediately entered a competition to see who could create more powerful super-soldiers for Ariarica.”
Nathan knitted his brows. “Is there a difference between these two projects?”
“Definitely. Project Genesis creates powerful super-soldiers by splicing human genes with the genes of beasts. Project Ragnarok, however, captures all kinds of supreme beings that exist in the world, locks them up, and conducts experiments on them. From there, they'll find a way to replicate a supreme being. Then, they'll replicate batches of soldiers that have supreme combat abilities.”
