Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2926

Faced with the incoming opponent, Cerulean had no choice but to suppress the shock he was feeling before charging forward to meet Nathan.

The sword he yielded turned into flashes of steely light that barreled toward Nathan.

Nathan maneuvered effortlessly through the attacks and said coldly, “This is my master's signature skill—Blade of Seasons. So you know it too? It's a shame that you didn't quite get the essence of the skill. That's nothing but a poor imitation!”

As Blade of Seasons proved ineffective against Nathan, Cerulean swiftly resorted to a different form and used a whole new move set.

However, Nathan remained unflinching. He effortlessly deflected all the attacks hurled at him. None of the attacks Cerulean delivered could even get near Nathan!

For this reason, Cerulean grew anxious.

He switched to more than a dozen different styles, but none of them could hurt Nathan the slightest bit.

At this point, Nathan could tell that Cerulean had learned countless advanced moves.

Yet, he was master of none. Without understanding the true quintessence of these moves, Cerulean would never be able to unleash the full potential of what he learned.

To put it simply, he was just imitating the moves.

Nathan sneered, “Seems like after capturing the supreme beings, you've gotten your hands on quite a number of powerful techniques and skills through Project Ragnarok. It's a shame that you only scratched the surface of these moves. Take Blade of Seasons for an example. You're nothing but a beginner at it. Eurasia is a great nation, and despite you spending your entire life learning any of the techniques and arts in Eurasia, all you will touch on is only the surface. Now, let me show you the true power of Blade of Seasons!”

That said, a dagger appeared in Nathan's hand. It was Snowsphere, the dagger that he brought along everywhere.

Meanwhile, Cerulean was already feeling irritated after he failed to get past Nathan's defense after switching so many forms. When Nathan whipped out a little dagger and talked about teaching him how to use Blade of Seasons, the irritation he felt erupted, leading him to roar angrily, “I'm one of the seven great Demon Eyes of Heavenly City. How dare you underestimate me? I'll kill you!”

With that, he became one with his sword and rushed Nathan with his strongest move.

With Snowsphere held firmly in his hand, Nathan chuckled. Then he lifted the weapon in what appeared to be an ordinary gesture.

In the next instant, Cerulean was caught in an illusion.

The sounds around him suddenly became distant, and everything before him changed in the blink of an eye.

The hotel was no more, and neither was the parking lot.

The light faded from Cerulean's eyes as his life slowly ebbed away.

Thump!

In the next second, his lifeless body toppled onto the ground.

“You all right?” Nathan turned around.

“Yeah. We're all right,” Colin and the others replied.

As for Sevan, with the influence of the whistle gone, his mind returned to him once more. He ran up to Nathan like a puppy trying to please its master.

Far away, the darkness slowly lifted as the sun was about to rise.

Nathan said, “Our location has been exposed, so we can't stay in Ariarica any longer. We should retreat for the time being and look into this Heavenly City. Let's hope that we can find my master and Hermes' whereabouts.”

Colin and the others responded simultaneously, “Yes, sir!”
