Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2933

Back in Wallera, Little Eurasia was a street less than a hundred meters long, and it was inhabited by nearly ten thousand Eurasian workers and merchants.

During that time, the Eurasians there had always been harassed and robbed. Some of them were injured, and some were even murdered.

Hence, the people in Little Eurasia had been living in constant fear.

However, something was about to change that day.

Nathan, the president of Eurasia, visited Wallera, and he had officially requested for the local authorities to keep them safe.

When the Eurasians heard it, they were instantly filled with excitement.

They didn't expect that Nathan would pay them a visit after meeting Jaymes.

At that moment, there was a long row of tables lined up on the street.

The tables were filled with the home-cooked dishes that the Eurasians living on the street had prepared.

Instantly, the street smelled amazing.

At the same time, nearly ten thousand Eurasians were standing at the side of the street, seemingly waiting for someone eagerly.

“He's here!” someone in the crowd shouted.

Immediately, a convoy of black cars could be seen driving in from the entrance of the street.

The convoy was led by a red sedan with a tiny red flag.

That was the car Nathan was in.

It turned out that the crowd was waiting for Nathan's arrival.

Subsequently, the convoy came to a stop.

Colin and a few dozen soldiers came out of their cars.

Colin walked swiftly toward the red car and opened the door for Nathan.

Giancarlo arrived in front of Nathan alongside his group of people. He bowed to Nathan respectfully and said, “My name is Giancarlo Heskin. We welcome your arrival, President Cross.”

Nathan quickly held Giancarlo's hand. “Old Mr. Heskin, I've heard of you. You've helped the people here massively. Please, you may drop the formalities.”

Giancarlo was elated when he heard that. “I've just been doing my best. You're too courteous, President Cross. I can't possibly take all the credit.”

With that, he pointed at the tables full of food and smiled. “President Cross, most of us here are workers instead of merchants. Therefore, we're not well off. When we found out that you were coming over, we had a discussion and decided that we would organize a welcome party and serve you home-cooked dishes. Please accept this as a token of our appreciation!”

A welcome party! Nathan glanced at the tables lined up in front of him. Although the dishes and wine weren't fancy, he was touched.

He looked at the crowd and said, “Thank you! I shall sit and drink with everyone! I'd like to hear about your lives here.”

Everyone agreed in unison.

Nathan was asked to sit in a reserved seat while everyone else took their seats according to their status.

Giancarlo sat next to Nathan and chatted with him. At that moment, he was on cloud nine. What an honor it is to be able to drink with President Cross!
