Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2964

Nathan clenched his fists without realizing it.

Similarly, Colin widened his eyes while Ava tightened her grip around the hilt of her sword. They looked as if they hated themselves for not being at the frontline and fighting alongside Bronson and the others.

An ill premonition rose in Nathan's heart as he asked slowly, “Then?”

Franklin said with a pained expression, “Major Lionheart and his soldiers fought the enemy's team bravely and killed over five hundred soldiers of their men. Still, Major Lionheart and the others were wiped out in the end. However, they managed to hang on until General Laarman arrived with reinforcements. Major Lionheart and his men did not let the enemy step foot on Daragon Island and place their flag on it even until they died.”

Nathan was moved, and his eyes reddened.

Colin could not help but proclaim, “They're brave men!”

At the same time, Ava muttered, “I can't believe I wasn't there to fight with them.”

Even Nathan spoke in a tone full of sorrow, which was rare. “D*mn it. Our country has lost a young King of Warriors and almost a hundred loyal soldiers.”

Pausing briefly, he asked, “What's the situation at Daragon Island now?”

“General Laarman led an army of five hundred elite soldiers and rushed over in a few dozen fishing vessels. In the end, they wiped out the enemy's troops. And now, General Laarman and his men are guarding Daragon Island in preparation for the next wave of attacks.”

Nathan nodded. “What's the response from Jetroina?”

“There's not much news reported in Jetroina. All they revealed was the fishermen from Daragon Island were denied entry onto the island by the Eurasian fishermen. They also reported that the Jetroinian fishermen were planning a second mission to get onto the island.”

Nathan commented coldly, “Looks like they're planning to fight to the end.”

Nathan had listed all the scariest soldiers of the North in one shot to be redeployed to the South.

Clearly, he wanted to teach Ariarica, Jetroina, and the other countries a lesson they would never forget for wanting to conquer Daragon Island.

Colin could not help but say softly, “Chief Cross, it's just a minor fight over Daragon Island. Do you really have to summon the most powerful soldiers of the North Army? Aren't you overreacting?”

Nathan shook his head. “No. This time, Jetroina initiated the fight, and Ariarica and the other countries are backing them. On the surface, it might look like a petty fight among fishers, but the soldiers on both sides won't give up so easily. I have a feeling this fight of disguising as fishers to conquer Daragon Island will soon become a battle between elite warriors of several countries. These generals from the North Army have great experience in battles. They're also the most powerful among the others. Hence, deploying them to the South will guarantee us success.”

Colin and the others were shocked to hear that. It would be terrible if the situation at Daragon Island escalated and caused elite warriors from various countries to get involved.

Thus, Colin answered, “Understood. I'll see to it right away.”
