Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2966

Meanwhile, dozens of fishing vessels surrounded Daragon Island while the soldiers on them waited with bated breath.

Pallav was on the vessel that was positioned ahead of the rest. He wore a grey shirt and a straw hat, looking just like a fisher.

However, his disguise could not conceal his strong characteristics as a soldier.

At that moment, he was sitting on the deck and grilling a small croaker on a stove.

The croaker had turned golden brown from the heat. Its oil sizzled on the skin, and its aroma permeated the air, causing several soldiers to drool, saying, “General Laarman, you've got quite the skills!”

Chuckling, Pallav responded, “Haha! Haven't you heard of the saying, ruling a nation is like cooking a small fish? It's the same logic when it comes to dealing with cunning enemies. We have to be patient and react when the time is right.”

The surrounding soldiers, who were disguised like him, nodded in agreement.

Suddenly, Pallav handed his fish to a subordinate beside him as he stood up and stared into the distance. “Well, well. Speak of the devil,” he muttered calmly.

Sure enough, a tiny shadow appeared in the distance.

Slowly, it grew bigger to reveal a fishing vessel with a Jetroinian flag on it.

Though the vessel was packed with Jetroinians dressed up as fishers, the men were armed with swords and exuded a murderous aura.

Staring at the uninvited guests, Pallav ordered coldly, “Tell the others to get ready for battle.”

“Roger that!”

Soon, Pallav's troops made their way toward the enemy and lined up their vessels across the sea to block the latter.

This time, the Jetroinians had one hundred vessels and one thousand soldiers. Their numbers were twice the number of Pallav's troops.

Seeing the Eurasians' reaction, the Jetroinians, too, got into formation to fight the former.

Standing arrogantly at the bow of the frontmost warship was Akuma, who held a katana with both hands.

Boom!

A deafening sound thundered in the air.

The collision ruined the front of the vessels and caused them to wobble violently. There were even soldiers from each troop that got thrown into the sea.

As soon as the ships collided, both Pallav and Akuma moved as fast as lightning, launching into a fight.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Like two tigers that were released from their cages, they lunged at each other and attacked fiercely, determined to kill one another.

Meanwhile, the soldiers from both parties could not help themselves from cheering for their own generals.

Pallav moved his body and swung his sword skillfully, bringing slashes down on Akuma, who never avoided the former's attacks. Instead, Akuma raised his katana to block the sword and began attacking Pallav ferociously.
