Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 2999

Raimond snickered. “You have such a conceited tone!”

After that, he waved his arm.

That time, more guards encircled Kraven.

Seeing that, Kraven shut his eyes.

Upon noticing Kraven's pompousness, the dozen of guards exchanged glances before picking up speed while closing their distance with Kraven. Then, they swung their swords at Kraven in unison.

At that very moment, Kraven's eyes shot open with an exceptionally sharp glare.

Taking a step forward, he slashed his sword sideways.

Snap, snap!

As the crisp sounds of weapons snapping rang, the guards' swords broke into halves.

At the same time, there were gaping wounds on the throats of the men, oozing blood.

Thud!

A dozen guards collapsed after having their throats slashed.

While the angels frowned, the remaining guards were all jittery in the face of such an overwhelmingly powerful enemy.

All of a sudden, sounds of footsteps approached from afar.

Two elderly men clad in black and white respectively came to the rescue with their subordinates.

When Raimond and the rest saw the two elderly men, they bowed in deference.

“Greetings to the Light and Dark Messengers.”

The two elderly men were Allfather's right-hand men, namely Dark Messenger Agastya Facon and Light Messenger Varuna Jain.

Agastya questioned in annoyance, “What are you doing? The sirens have been blaring for some time now. Have you not dealt with the intruder?”

Raimond respectfully informed, “The enemy is rather tricky to deal with, so normal guards can't win against him. The four of us were just about to make a move. Please pardon us for the hassle.”

Varuna huffed, “We aren't the ones that matter here. You might draw the attention of the Five Heavenly Guardians of Heavenly City if the sirens continue making all these noises.”

Agastya added coldly, “It might even get Allfather's attention, let alone the Five Heavenly Guardians.”

Raimond was sweating nervously as he promised, “We'll capture the intruder right away.”

With that, he gazed at his comrades.

Winson, the Fallen Angel, volunteered immediately. “You can stay put. I'll deal with this guy.”
