Thanks to Hepburn's luck and cautiousness, she successfully avoided the other party's pursuits several times.
Regardless, Max's subordinates were not wimps.
Despite hiding near the stinky dumpster, Hepburn was still discovered.
With five subordinates following behind him, the tall, burly man with beady eyes glanced at the tiny dumpster in front of him. He scoffed, “Ms. Hepburn, are you going to come out yourself, or should we drag you out?”
Finally, Hepburn stood up from her hiding spot behind the dumpster.
Her eyes were filled with fear and tears.
The beady-eyed man sneered, “Who would've imagined we'd get to witness the Holy Maiden hiding behind a dumpster? Tsk. We spent so much time looking for you.”
The thought of getting killed that night dismissed the fear in Hepburn's heart. Gritting her teeth, she reprimanded the criminals standing in front of her, “You monsters. How dare you kill everyone from Caliburn Church? God won't forgive your sins. All of you will definitely go to hell!”
The beady-eyed man snickered. “We are from hell. What makes you think we fear going to hell when we die? To us, going to hell is like returning home. Perhaps you should come up with something else to threaten us with, Ms. Hepburn.”
The super-soldiers behind him burst out laughing, making Hepburn tremble in rage.
Not wanting to waste another breath talking to Hepburn, the beady-eyed man ordered his subordinates coldly, “The boss is probably getting impatient. Take her down.”
“Understood!”
With that, the five subordinates hurriedly encircled Hepburn.
Her face fell with hopelessness, and she closed her eyes in resignation.
There was no way she could defend herself against those vicious beings.
Suddenly, a car's headlamps flashed in their direction. A red sedan slowly came into everyone's sight and finally stopped by the side.
Colin—dressed in a black suit—got out of the driver's seat and rushed to the other side of the car to open the door.
A handsome man with a muscular body and sparkling eyes stepped out of the car.
It was none other than Nathan.
When Hepburn opened her eyes, she saw Nathan's handsome face.
