Firedrake One landed at Salinsburgh's airport.
Nathan then disembarked from the jet with Colin, Ava, and Elite Eight.
The space outside the airport was crowded.
As it turned out, many citizens of Salinsburgh had learned of Nathan's visit, so they came to the airport to take a look at him.
Salinsburgh was a fascinating country with the royalty reigning and the Curia managing everything.
Even the army protecting the country was the Curia's Holy Army.
The citizens of Salinsburgh, naturally, were the most faithful believers.
When the people found out that the father of the future Holy Maiden was coming to Salinsburgh, many came to the airport to catch a glimpse of him.
However, none cheered at the sight of Nathan. As a matter of fact, there was a look of hostility in their eyes.
Some of the fanatics even started booing him.
It was clear that those people were displeased with Nathan for wanting to stop Queenie from becoming the next Holy Maiden.
To them, Nathan was a fool who did not know what good fortune had been bestowed upon him.
In the meantime, Daveth, riding a white horse, led a large group of bishops and Holy Knights down the street.
When the people saw Daveth, they cheered enthusiastically.
“Lord Daveth, one of the Five War Gods of the Light, is here!”
“Oh my, it really is Lord Daveth!”
“Lord Daveth looks majestic!”
As a famous War God of the Curia, Daveth was used to the fanatical worship of the believers. With a calm expression, he raised his left hand to greet them while riding down the street.
The believers quickly prostrated themselves before him.
Soon, Daveth arrived in front of Nathan with his subordinates.
The moment he arrived outside the airport, he noticed that the crowd was booing Nathan. Initially, he wanted to watch Nathan make an exhibition of himself and explode with anger from the humiliation, but to his surprise, the latter was unfazed by the crowd's jeering.
Daveth could not help but be secretly impressed. As expected of Eurasia's God of War, who has survived multiple bloodbaths. Not everyone can have the same calm and collected demeanor he now has.
Then, Daveth dismounted his horse and tidied up his armor before approaching Nathan with his arms spread open and his lips quirked into a grin. In a loud and clear voice, he said, “I'm Daveth, one of the Curia's Five War Gods of the Light. Welcome to Salinsburgh, Mr. Cross.”
