Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3093

Eugene IV hosted a grand banquet to give Nathan and his people a warm welcome.

After all, those in power were always respected in Adrune.

Not only was Nathan the president of Eurasia, but he had also demonstrated his true powers before all of the Curia.

Everyone at the banquet treated Nathan with respect.

After Eugene IV agreed to pick someone else as the Holy Maiden, Nathan backed down.

Overall, the atmosphere at the banquet was quite harmonious.

Once the banquet ended, Eugene IV invited Nathan to his office to talk in private.

After his servant served them coffee, Eugene IV ordered his servants to leave them alone.

He gestured for Nathan to have some coffee.

Nathan took a sip and said calmly, “This is good coffee. Thank you for your hospitality, Pope Eugene.”

Eugene IV smiled. “We had some conflicts, but it's all resolved now. Moreover, we're working toward the same goal, world peace.”

Nathan replied, “You do me too much honor.”

Eugene IV laughed. “You're too humble, Mr. Cross. You've earned substantial merit when you killed the vampire duke, Vince. The Curia cheered in delight when they heard the news.”

“The Vampire Patriarch is called Herod. He's an elite with unimaginable powers who could destroy the world. As humans, we might not stand a chance against him. Fortunately, he is old and frail and needs to hibernate to slow down his aging process. I was told that he only wakes up three days a year. They won't wake him up unless it's a crisis,” Eugene IV said slowly.

Nathan listened attentively as he sipped on his coffee.

Eugene IV continued, “Their internal affairs would usually be attended by a representative from each of the thirteen clans, also known as the thirteen vampire princes, while Herod is asleep. However, I received news that they have a new clan and a new prince recently. Moreover, this newly added vampire prince is very ambitious. He once declared that he would lead the vampires to rise and take over the earth.”

Nathan paused, looked up at Eugene IV, and frowned. “This new prince you're talking about, is it Max?”

“How do you know, Mr. Cross?”

“The leader of the group who attacked Hepburn when she was visiting Eurasia was Max. I noticed he had already turned into a vampire when I fought him, so I suspected it was him when you mentioned the vampires have a new ambitious prince.”
