Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3138

Everyone paused and stared at Nathan in confusion after hearing that.

As Colin, Hepburn, and the others followed his gaze and stared into the distance, they saw that a huge number of humanoid creatures had gathered in the city's ruins.

Like wild beasts in the shadows, the humanoid figures were staring at them with bloodshot eyes from a distance.

Upon taking a closer look, they noticed that the figures were incredibly filthy, and most of them were covered in bloodstains.

Their faces were incredibly pale, and sharp fangs were protruding slightly from their mouths.

Bondslaves! They're the lowest class of vampires! There's so many of them!

The look on Hepburn's face changed instantly when she realized what they were up against. “Everyone, be on your guard! We've got trouble!”

Whoosh!

The bishops and hundreds of Holy Knights quickly got into defensive formations.

Each of them gripped their weapons tightly as they nervously waited for the incoming attack.

Colin, Sevan, Elite Eight, and Seven Champions of the North quickly gathered next to Nathan. They were all exuding intense murderous auras as they glared at the bondslaves in the distance.

Nathan had initially assumed the huge and bright flames from burning the bodies had attracted the bondslaves roaming about nearby.

However, he soon realized that it wasn't as simple as he thought.

Huh... These bondslaves are surprisingly disciplined. They had us heavily surrounded in just a few seconds, and yet, none of them took the initiative to attack us. It's as though they're waiting for orders from their superior or something. I never knew they could be this organized!

Right as Nathan and Hepburn were contemplating their options, the bondslaves around them suddenly fell on their knees as though they were worshipping someone.

Moments later, a group of elegant and well-dressed nobles appeared before them.

The one leading the vampire aristocrats was a vampire duke named Aaryan.
