Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3151

While Wolfric's expression darkened as soon as he heard that, Leopold was the first to chime in, “I agree. Mr. Cross is the best candidate indeed.”

“I second that!”

“Me too!”

One after another, numerous Gods of War voiced their approval. Since they were on friendly terms with Eurasia, naturally, they would be happy to see Nathan become the allied forces' commander-in-chief. However, it was not long before some of the others started protesting.

The first was Eiken, Jetroina's War God. He sprang forward impatiently and shouted, “Eurasia's God of War is powerful indeed, but I don't think he's sufficiently qualified to be the commander-in-chief. No matter how I look at it, Mr. Welz is still the most suitable person.”

“That's right. I also agree that it should go to Mr. Welz,” Tyrell, the War God from Xyperia, declared loudly, echoing Eiken's sentiments.

Subsequently, those from Frosa, Xenhall, Eagleland, Hallsbay, Ferropene, and the other countries that were on good terms with Ariarica all expressed their support for Wolfric.

Soon, there was a divide in the support from the Gods of War. Half of them thought Nathan should be the commander-in-chief, while the other half supported Wolfric. Both sides were at loggerheads.

Nathan furrowed his brows slightly while Wolfric gloated inwardly.

As for Eugene IV, he started getting worried. Why are they arguing again?

He had no choice but to try and ease the tension. “Quiet down, everyone! Quiet down! Please listen to what I have to say.”

Gradually, everyone fell silent.

“Actually, whether it's Mr. Cross or Mr. Welz, or Mr. Remington for that matter, all of them are excellent choices. Even so, there can only be one commander-in-chief. Seeing that support for Mr. Cross and Mr. Welz is pretty much even, why don't we let the two men challenge each other in a sparring match, military simulation, or military combat techniques? The winner will become the commander-in-chief. How about that?” Eugene IV suggested.

All eyes turned toward Nathan and Wolfric. The former had no objections. However, the latter was unwilling to compete with him.
