Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3184

At night, Nathan returned to his room, and Colin brought him a basin of hot water to wash his face.

Nathan washed his face and sat down, feeling a bit tired.

Unable to hold back, Colin asked, “Mr. Cross, what's wrong? Is it not going well with the attack against the vampires?”

Nathan sighed. “The people are not united, everyone has their own agendas, and they all want to conserve their strength and consume the strength of others. The day to launch a final attack against the vampires seems far away. I now understand why war history often repeats itself.”

Colin smiled and replied, “The vampires have risen, and the countries of Adrune are in a dire situation, yet they still have their own agendas. They are hopeless. But the vampires are wreaking havoc in those people's own backyards and they are not so worried. So, we Aplothians who came to support shouldn't be worried either. When they come to their senses and are willing to use all their strength to fight the vampires, it will still not be too late to launch a final attack against the vampires.”

Nathan nodded. “Yes. We can only wait for now. We will strike when they are ready.”

Suddenly, Colin remembered something and said to Nathan, “By the way, Mrs. Cross called today, but I didn't want to disturb you because you were in a meeting with the deputy commanders. Would you like to call her back now, Mr. Cross?”

Penny called!

Nathan's spirits were lifted, and he felt as if all his fatigue had disappeared. A warm smile spread across his face as he said, “Okay. You can go now.”

“Understood.”

Once Colin left the room, Nathan picked up his phone and called Penny.

It was nighttime in Adrune, but it was noon in Eurasia. The video call was quickly connected.

Penny was in her office with her female bodyguard, Ava, standing behind her.

She was now toward the end of her pregnancy and glowing with maternal radiance.
