Rulon, who prided himself on being an experienced judge of character, was surprised to find that he couldn't sense anything suspicious about Nathan.
The man's bravery and focus indicated that he was not an average person. Though he may have been hiding his true identity by wearing a mask, his tanned skin and normal-looking eyes were not like those of a vampire, which typically has pale skin and red eyes.
Hence, Rulon concluded that Nathan wasn't a vampire.
Feeling intimidated by Nathan's demeanor, Rulon avoided eye contact and moved aside. He declared, “Since you're not a vampire, you may enter Nightfire Underground City. But I hope you're not harboring any evil intentions. Do not create any trouble inside, or you'll face the consequences.”
Nathan flashed a smile. “All right. I'll take note of your advice.”
He then walked past Rulon and his subordinates with Colin and Sevan tagging behind him.
Blossom was afraid that Nathan would end up in a physical altercation with Rulon.
When she noticed that Rulon wasn't going to interrogate Nathan any further, she felt relieved and quickly expressed her gratitude, “Thank you very much. I'll guide them into Nightfire Underground City now.”
She deftly led Nathan and the others through the depths of the forest, and before long, they arrived at a towering cliff.
Hidden cameras had been installed in the area, so the guards were aware of their arrival and opened the secret entrance without delay.
As they approached, a tunnel less than two meters wide emerged before them.
Blossom ushered them into the tunnel.
Once they were inside the tunnel, the entrance smoothly closed behind them, blending seamlessly with the surrounding rock surface.
Rulon and his team waited until Nathan and the rest disappeared from sight before looking away.
One of his subordinates asked, “Boss, are we seriously allowing the strangers entry?”
Rulon patiently explained, “Although I sensed that they were dangerous, they are not vampires. Having a few skilled human elites among us may be a good thing.”
