“Ah!” Lambert let out a guttural scream.
However, he was a vampire prince and his life tenacity was strong. He still did not die and continued resisting Nathan.
Nathan did not hold back. He immediately followed up with a backhand to Lambert's face and he stumbled backward—he was all dizzy and bloodied.
Nathan seized the opportunity to easily capture a dazed and confused Lambert.
Not too far away, Gerart, still fighting against Wolfric and the other elite humans, was shocked and enraged when he saw that Nathan had defeated Lambert.
What shocked him was how easily Nathan had captured Lambert. Although Lambert, the new vampire prince, was not as strong as the old princes, he was still one of the strongest in the clan.
What enraged him was how Nathan had dared to bring such violence to their territory.
He snarled, annoyed and angry, and forcefully pushed the human warriors away. Then, he turned and rushed toward Nathan.
Nathan held the dying Lambert under his left arm and his sword with his right hand. He fearlessly parried with Gerart single-handedly.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Nathan blocked Gerart's onslaughts of attack. Then, he struck Gerart with the flat of the sword, forcing him to stumble. While Gerart was trying to find his footing, Nathan handed the unconscious Lambert over to Wolfric and the others. “Watch over this one, and handle the vampires who are coming to provide back-up! I'm going to capture Gerart alive.”
The fight between the humans and the vampires had attracted the attention of the other vampire masters in the presidential palace and even the entire Kushburn.
Many of the vampire masters were already descending on the scene to join the battle.
No matter how reckless Wolfric and the others were, they had now come to their senses. Nathan was their strongest warrior. If they wanted to emerge victorious, they would have to stick to Nathan.
“Yes, Commander Cross!” Wolfric shouted in reply.
He ordered several men to take charge of Lambert. Then, he led the rest of the men to intercept the vampires who had come to join the battle.
Gerart and Nathan stood facing each other, separated by a short distance.
