Wolfric's anger had not subsided, and he continued to choose two more people, both of whom were relatively frail-looking warriors. After making his choices, he said to Nathan, “I've picked these three. It's your turn to choose now.” Nathan did not say much and casually chose three Ariarica soldiers.
In order to convince Wolfric and the others completely, Nathan did not intentionally choose the weakest-looking soldiers. Instead, he selected a few tall and exceptionally well-built Ariarica soldiers. Wolfric noticed Nathan did not deliberately choose the weakest Ariarica soldiers, and he could not help but beam with joy.
“Haha, I don't know whether to call you arrogant or confident, Nathan.”
Nathan said calmly, “If there are no objections, let's get started.” Wolfric said, “Okay.”
The best two out of three would determine the winner. In the first round, Nathan's team sent out Shadow Widow, while Wolfric's team brought in an Ariarica soldier with a flattop named Dunearn. Dunearn was tall and muscular, his two-meter height towering over Shadow Widow. He mischievously looked at the Shadow Widow and said with a smirk, “Hey, beautiful. Don't be scared. I'll try to go easy on you.”
Shadow Widow tucked her hair behind her ear, smiled charmingly, and said softly, “Hehe, please don't hold back because I won't show you any mercy either. I really don't want you to make lame excuses after you lose later.”
Dunearn could not help but laugh. “Lose? Are you kidding me?” Shadow Widow said casually, “We'll know who will lose once we fight. Come on, let's battle.”
Dunearn wanted to flirt with Shadow Widow a little. After all, having spent so much time in the military, it was rare to come across a beauty as charming as her, and he could not resist the urge to tease her a bit.
