Nathan's initially bewildered gaze shifted toward Colin and the others. As he quickly regained his composure, he flashed them a wide grin. “Everyone's here.”
Colin responded, “Not everyone. Just our people only. Wolfric and others were busy wiping out the remnants of the vampires after seeing you slain Patriarch Herod and knowing that vampires can no longer mount a decent resistance. That's why they didn't have time to come here to meet you!”
Nathan could hear the resentment in his tone.
Clearly, Colin was quite dissatisfied with the attitudes of the various War Gods in the alliance.
Nathan responded with a chuckle. “The blood virus has erupted, and the vampires are running rampant. The entire Adrune has been ravaged for a long time, and even some countries have even been wiped out. They must have harbored a deep hatred for the vampires. Now that the vampires' power is waning, it's not difficult to understand their desire to seek revenge.”
Colin sighed. “Commander Cross, you're such a forgiving man.”
As Nathan described how Adrune had suffered from the relentless vampire attacks, with certain countries even meeting their annihilation, his words served as a poignant reminder for Shadow Widow. Sitting beside him, she could not help but feel a surge of emotions, causing her eyes to well up and turn red.
Shadow Widow, whose real name was Dido, was originally the princess of Wallera.
Following the annihilation of Wallera by the vampires, Dido assumed leadership of the surviving remnants of the royal army, who took refuge underground. They fought to survive, patiently waiting for an opportunity to reclaim and restore their country.
Upon learning that Nathan was the War God of Eurasia, she wasted no time in offering her unwavering support. By doing so, she sought to reclaim her country with his assistance.
She had always kept this secret buried deep within her heart.
Upon hearing Nathan's words, she was overwhelmed by a surge of emotions. Instantly, tears streamed down her face, and with a thud, she dropped to her knees right in front of Nathan, unable to contain her emotions any longer.
That unexpected reaction startled Nathan and everyone around him.
Nathan, who was stunned for a moment, hurriedly asked, “What's wrong?”
