Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3437

“We've gathered numerous offerings over the past decade, and the scale of it is the largest to date. I have faith that you will be satisfied,” Eugene IV hurriedly said.

The next second, he motioned for the crowd behind him to step aside, revealing the vampire cores piled on the floor.

Standing atop the Divine Altar, Helios couldn't help but reveal a look of surprise and delight upon seeing so many vampire cores.

The red core, in particular, shocked him the most.

“What? I can't believe you guys killed Herod!” he exclaimed, suddenly becoming warier of Eugene IV and his group.

It's good that these earthlings are loyal to God, but I wouldn't be pleased if they became too powerful.

Not wanting to hide the truth, Eugene IV shared every detail he knew. “There was an outbreak of the blood virus a while back. Many people were infected and subsequently turned into vampires, thus prompting the Gods of War from a hundred nations to band together. Eurasia's God of War, Nathan Cross, personally led the alliance and defeated the vampires. He was also the one who killed Herod.”

Helios instantly committed the name to memory. Nathan Cross, huh? To think there's a human who's even more formidable than Herod... I must keep an eye on him.

After a moment of hesitation, Eugene IV continued, “However, Nathan started acting very strangely after he killed Herod. We suspect he has become a vampire and is now their new king.”

Helios furrowed his brows. Nathan Cross? The new king of the vampires?

Fortunately, it didn't take long for him to regain his composure. “So that's how it is. No wonder you could present so many vampire cores as offerings. As you know, these cores are the finest energy crystals in our nation. You guys have done well this time.”

With that, Helios raised his left hand and made a beckoning gesture.

Amidst the dark clouds in the sky, a massive spaceship suddenly appeared with a black beam emerging from its base.

As the black beam slowly descended, an invisible force sent the mountainous pile of vampire cores floating into the spaceship.

Helios gazed coldly at them, a smirk on his face. Ha! Enjoy it while you can. This is Divine Realm's finest psychedelic drug. Even though the drug can bring unparalleled pleasure to the mind, it's also highly addictive. Go forth and lose yourselves in this mindless bliss, you pathetic earthlings.

At that moment, the black beam of the spaceship descended upon him and his two subordinates, drawing all three of them up into the vessel.

Once aboard the spaceship and having made their way to the cockpit, Lunar turned to Helios. “Lord Helios, are we returning to the Divine Realm now?”

Helios shook his head. “No. The balance between the vampires and humans on Earth has been disrupted. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that humans could one day wipe out the vampires.”

“Lord Helios, isn't it good that humans have slaughtered the vampires and offered us such a bounty of cores?” Lunar asked.

“It is, indeed,” Helios replied. “However, they've also killed the goose that lays the golden eggs.”
