“Mr. Welz is right. We cannot elect Nathan as the commander-in-chief of the global village unless he can prove that he's not a vampire!”
A loud and powerful voice rang out.
Wolfric, Leopold, and the others all turned around, only to see a well-dressed, middle-aged man walking in with a cluster of people around him.
It was unmistakably Eugene IV.
It turned out that after Eugene IV communicated with the God King, he learned that the God King had dispatched the Divine Realm's Swordmaster, Gryffen, to Earth to deal with Nathan and rescue the three Demigods who were being held captive.
He had been paying quite a bit of attention in discreet.
He initially thought the Swordmaster of the Divine Realm, Gryffen, could easily defeat Nathan and rescue those three Demigods.
The outcome, however, left Eugene IV utterly astounded.
Nathan actually shot Gryffen dead, and not only that but the Gods the latter brought along with him were all either killed or injured. None of them could escape Nathan's clutches.
That made Eugene IV unable to sit still any longer.
If I don't do something, I bet the His Majesty from the Divine Realm will be taking his anger on me.
Upon learning of Gryffen's misfortune, he immediately set off for Eurasia with the key members of the Curia in the middle of the night.
His motive was to see if he could break the stalemate. He wanted to uncover the secret that Nathan was a vampire to turn the situation around and take that opportunity to save those trapped Gods.
After he arrived at the State Guesthouse in Eurasia, he overheard Wolfric's conversation with the other War Gods. Without deliberation, he agreed to Wolfric's stance, stating that he would not allow Nathan to become the commander-in-chief of the Earth Alliance if he could not prove his innocence.
Many, including Wolfric, Leopold, Catherine, Eiken, and Tyrell, were surprised to see Eugene IV's presence.
They were all left wondering why he came.
Many War Gods from smaller countries came forward to greet Eugene IV with respect.
