Nathan, Colin, and Sevan were the only ones left in the study.
Worried, Colin asked, “What should we do now, Mr. Cross?”
Nathan answered indifferently, “Since Francis has successfully developed an advanced serum and even cured Sevan with it, I might as well give the serum a try. It's possible that the serum could eliminate the blood virus in my body and restore my normal state.”
Colin was slightly concerned, apprehensive about the possibility of adverse reactions and potential side effects.
Nathan urged, “We're running out of time now. Don't hesitate anymore. Go get the syringe and inject me!”
Left with no choice, Colin gritted his teeth and said, “Okay.”
Soon, Colin made all the necessary preparations and gave an order that no one should be allowed inside.
Afterward, he personally administered the serum to Nathan.
Within seconds, a vial of advanced serum was injected into Nathan's arm.
Colin and Sevan both stared at Nathan anxiously and asked, “How are you feeling, Mr. Cross?”
Nathan narrowed his eyes and said slowly, “I sense a warm current entering my arm, spreading throughout my body and into my limbs. It's like the temperature inside me is rising, as if there's a flame burning within.”
Sevan quickly added, “It's somewhat similar to what I experienced. I had a high fever for a while, but I recovered after the fever broke. According to Professor Ladell, it's the medicinal effect that causes the body to run a fever, and the high fever kills the blood virus.”
Meanwhile, Nathan's entire body turned a bright red hue. It appeared as if a surge of heat was bursting forth from within him.
Instantly, he was drenched in sweat. Although he tried to put on a brave front, anyone could tell that he was suffering in extreme pain.
“Mr. Cross?” Colin was worried sick.
Nathan said nothing and merely shut his eyes. One of his hands gripped the desk tightly.
Sizzle...
Smoke actually billowed out from the study desk!
Colin's eyes widened as he turned to look at Sevan. “Was your fever this serious?”
