Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3605

Nathan's private jet soon arrived in Eurasia, at the airport in Brimmopolis.

The moment Nathan stepped off the plane, the scene erupted with thunderous applause and cheers.

“Papa!”

“Hubby!”

Penny, cradling her son and accompanied by her daughter, quickly walked up to Nathan with her family. Her face was full of excitement as she looked at her returning husband.

“I've caused you all to worry!” Nathan took his son into his arms and, in the flow of the moment, planted a kiss on his wife's cheek. That made Penny's pretty face blush a deep red.

Just then, Zion also came over with the cabinet members and the generals from the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor.

“Welcome home, Chief Military Governor. You've returned home in triumph!” Zion stepped forward, warmly shaking hands with Nathan.

Nathan said with a smile, “Everyone has worked hard while I was away. How is our reconstruction work progressing?”

Zion answered with a smile, “With everyone's concerted efforts, the reconstruction work is progressing in an orderly manner. Don't worry, Chief Military Governor.”

Nathan nodded in satisfaction.

Afterward, Nathan returned to the White House and immediately convened a meeting with the Cabinet and the members of the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor.

After a busy day, he finally had some free time to reunite with his family.

When he walked into the dining room, he noticed Kylie yawning. Both his daughter and son were asleep. His in-laws, along with Penny, were also waiting, yawning incessantly.

It was probably the sound of Nathan's footsteps that startled his daughter, Queenie, awake.

Queenie opened her eyes just in time to see Nathan walk in. She couldn't help but get excited. “Hey! Papa is finally back.”

After saying that, she rushed into Nathan's arms.

Penny looked deeply into Nathan's eyes, then said in a clear voice, “No matter what decision Nathan makes, I will support him. If he wishes to conquer the world, I will stand by his side. If he wants to retire, I'll accompany him.”

Benson and Leah were completely dumbfounded, and they wanted to persuade Nathan to think twice before acting.

Nathan smiled and said, “Everyone, don't panic. This is just my initial idea. I don't know if it's possible for me to take a back seat yet.”

Benson and the others found it reasonable. Since nothing was set in stone yet, they decided not to persuade any further.

Little did they know that Nathan was already planning to make a strategic retreat.

The family began to eat their meal.

Suddenly, an international news story on television caught everyone's attention.

The news presenter said, “Up next, international news. Protest marches against the vampires have erupted in various cities across Ariarica. Enraged citizens have captured a dozen members of the vampires, openly burning them alive in the streets. The Ariarican authorities are asking the people to act sensibly and not resort to extreme actions. Most importantly, the authorities urged the people to avoid conflict with the vampires to prevent exacerbating the tension between humans and the vampires. However, according to the information received by our station, up to now, there have been severe protest marches against the vampires worldwide. Quite a few vampires have been lynched on the streets or even burned alive. As for the vampires, the vampire queen has also raised objections...”
