Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3611

Nathan found himself surprisingly content with the outcome.

To his astonishment, Eve, a female God with an exceptional aura, didn't opt for her own demise. Instead, she chose to pledge her service to Nathan.

He cast a contemplative glance at Eve, suspecting that her motive might involve enduring humiliation to secure her future as a potential resistance figure.

Individuals who endure hardship to achieve their goals can pose hidden dangers when left unchecked.

Given the current circumstances where the tamed Gods were intended to assist in spaceship repairs, the potential ramifications of Eve harboring ulterior motives and tampering with the spaceship were truly worrisome.

With these concerns in mind, Nathan's demeanor toward Eve turned decidedly frigid. He raised his hand, singling out Eve, and declared in an icy tone, “While anyone else can opt to serve me, you are the sole exception.”

Eve's face instantly contorted when she heard Nathan's words.

Nathan had presented a stark choice: either surrender or face the death penalty. However, it was evident that he was prohibiting Eve from surrendering, intentionally placing her in a perilous predicament.

Anxiety surged within her as she inquired urgently, “Why is it that everyone else can surrender, but I can't?”

Nathan responded calmly, “You are more aware of the reason than I am.”

Eve's complexion paled considerably.

Nathan gestured, instructing, “Take her out.”

At that very moment, a soldier moved forward, poised to drag Eve out for execution.

As the specter of death loomed ever closer, Eve's panic became palpable, and in her desperation, she cried out, “You can't kill me...”

Nathan offered a light, mirthless chuckle. “And why can't I?”

In her haste, Eve had a sudden revelation. “Don't you want the Gods to work for you? I'm an all-rounder. I possess a wide array of skills! I am worth a hundred of them. Killing me would be a loss for you.”

Eve regarded Nathan with a complex mixture of emotions, cautiously seeking clarification, “So, what precisely do you require us to do?”

Nathan replied with a smile, “It is, of course, to aid me in repairing the spaceship!”

What?

Eve was flabbergasted, and the other Gods shared her astonishment. They stared at Nathan in disbelief. None of them had anticipated that Nathan's request would involve assisting in the repair of a spaceship.

Very quickly, Eve snapped back to reality from her initial shock.

She asserted repeatedly, “It's impossible. Whether it's the initial batch of spaceships we dispatched or the suicide squad led by Grand Admiral Gulliver, you have shot them all down. There's no possibility of a complete spaceship remaining; they are all mere fragments. How could such a vessel possibly be repaired?”

Nathan replied with a smile, “It appears you have all forgotten. The organization you support on Earth, the Curia, houses a spaceship within its forbidden area. You abandoned it there due to a malfunction. The Curia has consistently utilized the communicator on this defective spaceship to maintain contact with the distant Divine Realm.”

Eve was taken aback. “You intend to repair that spaceship?”
