The next day at noon, Nathan, accompanied by Hepburn, Sinistral, Max, and a few subordinates, departed from the Imperial City. They were escorted by the Gods, Dinko and Moblan, aboard a royal spaceship.
Reaching the Divine Realm's highest peak quickly, Nathan decided not to transport directly to the peak of Mount Snowcrest via the spaceship. Instead, they used the teleportation array within the spaceship to reach the foot of the mountain.
The peak of Mount Snowcrest housed a sanctum, revered as the holiest site for the Gods.
Nathan's decision to walk up the mountain, rather than teleporting straight to the peak, was a strategic move to further endear himself to the Gods and regain their trust.
Upon stepping out of the teleportation array at the mountain's base, Dinko and Moblan appeared hesitant.
In a low voice, Dinko remarked to Moblan, "I thought His Majesty was supposed to be at the Gods Academy today?"
Caught off guard, Moblan replied, "And I was under the impression we were visiting the native tribes?"
Confusion was evident on their faces as the plans they were aware of did not align.
Nathan did not go to the Gods Academy nor visit the native tribes, instead choosing to visit Snowcrest Sanctum.
They speculated whether Nathan's visit to Mount Snowcrest was a sudden decision or a calculated move. Perhaps it was a response to the previous rebellion attempts by Hodges and other God Paladins, a way for Nathan to express his discontent with the Gods, or an assertive demonstration of his authority.
Lost in their thoughts, Nathan, leading the group with Hepburn and Max, paused and turned to address Dinko and Moblan, who were quietly conversing. With a smile, he inquired, "What are you two discussing?"
Dinko and Moblan, uncertain of Nathan's intentions for visiting the peak and feeling uneasy, hastily asserted that they hadn't spoken about anything.
Nathan responded with a light laugh, "We're at the summit of the Divine Realm, Mount Snowcrest. It's known that the esteemed sanctum of the Gods is located here. Additionally, many honored elders of the Gods reside here, safeguarding it. As the newly appointed God King of the Divine Realm, this marks my inaugural visit to the highest point in our realm. I'm grateful to you both, Dinko and Moblan, for leading me. During our journey, I'd appreciate it if you could share with me the local traditions and history of this area."
