Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3787

Nathan glanced at the menacing Max, gave a slight smile, and continued to question Markell.

"You claimed to have successfully stolen the Blood of Medille. Where is it now?"

Markell turned his head fearfully to look at Max, gritted his teeth, and replied, "I have already sent someone to deliver it to him personally. I suspect that by now, he has probably consumed the Blood of Medille."

Nathan nodded slightly, then turned to Max and calmly asked, "Max, do you have anything else to say?"

At this point, Max remained composed and unfazed. He dropped all pretenses and carried himself as if he were the master of the place. He nonchalantly settled down on a chair, picked up the jug from the table, poured himself half a cup of coffee, and took a sip before leisurely speaking, "Your Majesty, you have orchestrated everything. Now everything is up to you and Markell. What need is there for me to speak anymore?"

Nathan asked indifferently, "Are you admitting your guilt, or are you giving up because everything has gone wrong?"

Max lifted his head, fearlessly meeting Nathan's gaze. Their eyes locked in a standoff as he challenged, "What difference does it make whether I admit it or not?"

Nathan replied, "If you admit to your crimes, then I must take action against you. If you refuse to admit it, then confront Markell, present substantial evidence, and refute his accusations."

"Him?" Max looked at Markell with a cold, piercing gaze that sent shivers down Markell's spine.

"Traitor!"

Max cursed under his breath, his tone icy. Suddenly, he hurled the cup he was holding.

The cup, imbued with a terrifying force, flew toward Markell like a cannonball, whistling through the air.

Max, seething with anger, struck out with his formidable power.

It seemed that Markell was about to be struck down.

With a swift wave of his hand, Nathan instantly unleashed a gust of strong wind.

The cup, halfway through its journey, was struck by a fierce wind and exploded with a loud bang right in front of Markell.

Markell was caught in the blast, thrown several meters away by the explosion. His face and body were covered in fresh blood. However, amidst this misfortune, there was a silver lining—his life was spared.

"Protect His Majesty!"
