Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3791

Max was able to step through the grand entrance of the main hall, covered in blood, without being intercepted by the guards along the way, due to Nathan's orders.

Behind him, the rallying cries of warriors echoed as large contingents of troops rushed in from all directions, effectively surrounding the square in front of the main hall.

Max realized that escape was impossible.

He seemed to accept his inevitable fate and didn't even bother to glance back at the various clans that had appeared behind him.

As he entered the grand hall, he slowed his pace, leaving a bloody imprint with each leisurely step.

Inside the hall, Nathan sat on the throne, while numerous warmongers such as Hepburn, Toothless, Solo, and Sinistral stood before him, all casting their gaze toward Max.

Everyone's gaze held different emotions.

After all, many people had fought alongside Max and didn't want to see him in this situation.

Of course, there were also loyal subordinates who believed that Max had brought it upon himself.

When Max reached the center of the hall, he halted and lifted his gaze, fixing it on Nathan. "Nathan," he challenged, "Let's battle."

Nathan looked down at Max from his higher position. "When you were human, you never defeated me. After turning into a vampire and submitting to me, why did you choose this path?"

Max said in a deep voice, "I refuse to believe that I can't beat you even once in my lifetime."

Nathan smiled. "There are many who couldn't beat me. You don't need to feel regret."

Max said firmly, "I don't believe it. Let's fight. I'm seriously injured right now, and you're still nursing old wounds. If you've got the guts, let's have a fair fight!"

Nathan stood up. "Are you sure?"

Max raised his voice and said, "Enough with the nonsense. Either command them to attack me all at once, hacking me to death, or face me like a man for a fair fight."

Nathan smiled and said, "All right. I'll grant your wish."

Nathan descended the steps and spoke lightly, "I will only make one move. If you can counter it, consider yourself the winner."

Just one move?

Max displayed an expression of disbelief.

Dinko, who had just rushed over with his subordinates, and Moblan were also completely taken aback.

In fact, many people had recently heard rumors that Nathan was seriously injured and his condition was severe.

For this reason, various factions were eager to make their move, attempting to overthrow Nathan while he was still finding his footing.

But now, Nathan was dueling with Max, and astonishingly, he claimed he would only make one move.

Could it be that Nathan was trying to prove his strength to everyone in order to quell any thoughts of rebellion?

Dinko and Moblan exchanged a glance.

"Grah!"

Max let out a low growl as if he was ready to explode on the spot.

However, he hadn't anticipated that Nathan was even faster.

Whoosh!

Before his eyes could adjust, Nathan had already appeared before him.

Immediately following, Nathan swiftly lifted his foot, fiercely stomping down.

This kick, carrying the force of wind and thunder, surprisingly resonated with the air, causing a series of soft crackling and popping sounds.

With long strides, he tore through the air, causing the space around him to distort wherever he passed.

Such a terrifying kick it was.

Max was so scared that he felt as if his soul was about to leap out of his body.

He didn't have time to think further. Driven entirely by his combat instinct, he crossed his arms, exerting all his strength to fend off Nathan's kick.

After all, Nathan had said that if he could withstand just one move, he would consider it a victory.
