No one could refuse Nathan's terms!
Leopold regained his composure and said, "If that's the case, then it's for the best."
Behind Leopold, the captain of the guard's phone rang. After answering and listening for a moment, he leaned in and whispered something into Leopold's ear.
Leopold's expression immediately turned serious.
He put down his glass and said to Nathan, "It seems there's another unexpected situation. Wolfric, Mr. Zach Hill, and the Earth Alliance War Gods have been ordered to assemble urgently. I need to go back and see what's going on."
Nathan stood up to see him off. "Okay, if you encounter any trouble and need my help, don't hesitate to let me know."
With a smile, Leopold said, "I certainly won't stand on ceremony with you."
In the Earth Alliance Headquarters, a large number of War Gods had already assembled.
Inside the command room, Wolfric, Zach, and several other important Earth Alliance commanders had arrived.
Only Leopold was missing.
Wolfric voiced his displeasure, "If I'm not mistaken, Leopold is the duty officer tonight. Why isn't he here when there's a situation?"
Reeking of alcohol, Leopold walked in from the door right after he spoke.
"Haha, I'm here!"
Wolfric caught a whiff of the alcohol on Leopold and furrowed his brow even more. "General Remington, did you drink while on duty? Are you joking with the safety of the Earth?"
Leopold chuckled. "I just learned that there might be extraterrestrial enemies infiltrating Earth. So, I went to report the situation to Mr. Cross and had a couple of drinks with him. He has promised to help if there's trouble."
Nathan? Him again!
Many Earth Alliance soldiers were on high alert, looking like they were facing a formidable enemy.
In front of them, the main entrance of the Earth Alliance Headquarters had been blown open, with glass shards scattered on the ground.
Dozens of Earth Alliance soldiers' bodies lay on the ground.
Under the shocked gazes of Wolfric, Leopold, Zach, and others, four robust aliens walked in, calmly stepping on the blood and corpses on the ground.
Behind them, there was a team of fully armored alien warriors, wielding lightswords, emanating a fierce aura.
They were none other than the Four Emperors and their bodyguards.
Wolfric stared in horror at the alien powerhouses in close proximity. Surprising his shock, he demanded sternly, "Who are you? From what planet do you hail? State your intentions!"
Lucius surveyed the scene, saying indifferently, "Who we are is none of your business. This time, we are here for a few humans. If you obediently follow our instructions and hand over the humans we're looking for, we might consider sparing your lives. If you resist, we'll have to unleash a massacre."
