Lucius grinned. "That's right, I said that before. But I've changed my mind now. Among you, whoever helps me capture Penny Smith's entire family and hands them over to me can live. Only one of you can survive, and the other two must die. If anyone wants to live, hurry up and seize the opportunity."
He burst out laughing.
Behind him, Mentzer, Fermin, Lola, and the rest of his subordinates also burst into laughter.
Wolfric, Leopold, and Zach's expressions drastically changed. The surrounding human War Gods and Earth Alliance soldiers finally understood the intentions of these aliens. It turned out they were targeting Nathan's family.
Wolfric's expression shifted before he spoke. "So, you're after Nathan. We can arrange to capture Nathan's family and hand them over to you, but you must spare everyone here!"
Lucius' eyes widened. "I told you three that only one of you could survive. No one said you can negotiate terms."
As he spoke, he effortlessly threw a punch.
Whoosh!
The punch was an invisible force aimed straight at Wolfric's chest.
Taken aback, Wolfric quickly moved to defend himself but was forced to retreat.
The invisible force shook his internal organs. A mouthful of fresh blood surged to his throat, nearly causing him to vomit.
He forcefully swallowed the blood back down.
Pretending to be unaffected, he angrily said, "We've agreed to hand them over, so don't go too far. There's a saying among humans, 'Even a rabbit will bite when cornered.' I advise you not to go too far. Otherwise, there will be no benefit in us fighting to the death."
Before Lucius could speak, Zach declared, "We can't hand them over! Publicly, Mr. Cross is Earth's hero, our protector. How can we hand over his family to these hostile alien enemies? Privately, Mr. Cross and I are more than brothers. I would never agree to hand over his family to these alien scoundrels."
Leopold agreed, "Exactly, we cannot hand over anyone. Moreover, even if we did, these guys probably wouldn't spare us. We might as well fight them. Even if it means heavy casualties, we must annihilate them!"
