Black Lady's lips twitched. "I think he has you wrapped around his little finger, dear. Men are never decent nor reliable. If Nathan Cross is not a moron, why isn't he already here to save you?"
"You have already discussed your plan to kill Nathan once he hands over the manufacturing rights. We are not idiots, and furthermore, I am the one warning him not to come!" Penny Smith was fuming with rage.
"It's true that you warn him about it, but what if he really doesn't care about your life at all? What if he never shows up? Are you still going to be exactly fine with it?" Black Lady snickered coldly.
The look on Penny Smith's face became complicated. She bit her lip before saying, "I'm willing to suffer the consequences myself. After all, I am the one forbidding him to come."
Terrence Ortiz snorted coldly, "You have 5 minutes left. 5 minutes, and if he still doesn't show up, and if you still don't agree to our condition... I have 200 men here
lusting after you, think about it carefully."
Terrence Ortiz left with Zucker Johnson and Black Lady.
Penny Smith cried silently with her head down.
She was having mixed emotions right now. Her mind reasoned that it would be useless even if Nathan Cross came. He would die for nothing.
However, deep down in her heart, there was an intense wish for Nathan to appear before her.
After all, it was every woman's desire to see the love of her life fighting for her when she was in distress.
Penny was struggling deep down as memories of her and Nathan came flashing in her mind.
Every time she was in trouble or danger, it was always Nathan who was by her side.
He would always smile gently and say, "Honey, it's gonna be fine. I'm here for
you!"
Where are you now, Nathan?
