Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 423

"What are you doing here, Ms. Sharp?" Yvonne asked, horrified.

Mary made a beeline for Nathan and greeted him respectfully, disregarding Yvonne.

"It really is you, Mr. Cross. I've idolized you for the longest time. It must be my lucky day to see you in person."

Everyone in the teahouse was dumbfounded once more. This woman, who never even gave the mayor the time of day, was actually treating Nathan with reverence.

Yet, he responded nonchalantly, "Is that so? Your employee doesn't seem to welcome me."

Yvonne paled instantly.

Astonished and furious at the same time, Mary immediately asked what happened.

She fumed with anger and glared at Yvonne coldly. "I never said good seats were only meant for customers who order expensive tea. You're my disciple; how could you mistreat my patrons like this?

"I'll personally brew Mr. Cross some tea to apologize. You can start crawling out of here. Also, you're no longer my disciple. Look after yourself from now on!"

Yvonne went on her knees with a loud thud. "Ms. Sharp!"

"I've told you many times to conduct yourself well before you learn to brew tea," Mary said aloofly. "You have a terrible attitude. You should go home and reflect on yourself."

Yvonne kneeled on ground and bawled with regret.

Unfortunately, there was no use crying over spilled milk.

With a wave of Mary's hand, two subordinates dragged Yvonne away.

Then, Mary turned to apologize to Nathan. ‘Tm truly sorry for what happened, Mr.

Cross and Ms. Smith. Please allow me to brew you some tea as my apology.”

"Sure," Nathan replied.

The crowd was in an uproar again. She's really going to make him tea!

Ferlyn and Theodore gazed at the couple with mixed emotions. Ferlyn, in particular, looked especially jealous.
