Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 474

Penny was furious and in shock. "Mr. Kemp, although our negotiation might not succeed, you can't burn your bridges. How can you blacklist the Cross Group from future leasing for this? You're crossing the line!"

Colton sneered, "Crossing the line? You made Derek chase my wife out from Riverside Garden. Did you not cross the line then?"

Nathan and Penny knew what was going on then.

It turns out that Colton was the husband of the rich woman from yesterday.

Penny was still furious, but she was now in a panic as well. Although Colton was one of the more powerful men in the field of office buildings, she was sure he would not be able to truly stop her from leasing another office building. Perhaps all she needed was to pay more when leasing from someone else.

However, she was in a hurry to move the headquarters of Cross Group. If this were not solved soon, it would become a major issue.

She seethed, "Since Mr. Kemp does not seem to be interested in this, I'll take my leave now. Darling, let's go."

However, instead of leaving, Nathan smiled. "Honey, I think he's right. There won't be any building better than Concord in Channing.”

Penny froze. "What do you mean?"

Nathan continued smiling. "I mean, Concord is a good catch. We shouldn't give up on it. Why don't you leave the room for a moment while I discuss it with him? Maybe he'll lower the lease for us."

The moment the words left Nathan's lips, Penny was dumbfounded. On the other, a sneer emerged on Colton's lips.

Penny felt that it was a waste of their time, so whispered, "Darling, don't you understand his words? He's not interested in leasing the building to us. He's just toying with us. Even if you try to talk to him about it, he'll never lease Concord to us."

Nathan chuckled. "What's wrong, honey? You don't trust me?"

Penny stared into Nathan's determined eyes. Finally, she nodded. "Okay. I'll wait for you outside. But if he doesn't agree on leasing us Concord, don't insist any further. We'll look for other buildings."
