Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 587

However, what astonished him was when Penny exclaimed, "Hmm, Captain Perry did send a message to Nathan at 7 p.m. asking him to bring in reinforcements from the military district of Channing. He also told Nathan that he's already contacted the top brass of the military district."

Chris was startled when he heard this. He secretly pulled out his phone and saw that the same message was on his phone.

What was going on?

He didn't send anything to Nathan Cross. Mobilizing the military was all Nathan's doing. It had nothing to do with him.

He stared in disbelief at Nathan.

When he saw Nathan's convincing smile, he suddenly realized that this was all his doing.

Nathan Cross was the General of the North. Just one word to the communications company and they could have easily added such a message into both their phones.

Only after seeing the messages on Nathan's phone were the Smiths willing to believe that the military was mobilized by Chris Perry.

Nathan was only Chris' errand boy.

Ferlyn spoke triumphantly, "Sis, what are you doing? What are you insisting on?”

"Don't tell me that after seeing Nathan being so imposing in the hotel you believe the army was sent in by him?"

"Haha, you're too naive, sis. Brother-in-law doesn't have that kind of authority."

Sean nodded and added, "I also suspected Nathan to be the one who mobilized the army, especially since Nathan was the one who commanded the soldiers to capture Joey Lund.”

"He was just flaunting another person's power. The one who does have actual power is my boyfriend Chris," Ferlyn giggled.

Everyone in the Smith Family

complimented Chris. If it weren't for him, the Smith Family would have been in big trouble.

Chris was drenched in sweat and spoke with trepidation, "Actually, most of the credit tonight should go to Mr. Cross."

Ferlyn pouted. "He's just your errand boy. What's so great about that?"

Chris felt distressed and wanted to defend Nathan.

Nathan, however, shot a glance at Chris, shutting him up before he could talk.

Ferlyn, please stop slandering Mr. Cross. In fact, I'm not even worthy of supporting Mr. Cross, Chris thought to himself.

Undermining Mr. Cross to praise me is as uncomfortable as being roasted on a fire!

The next day, a bombshell was dropped on Channing.
