Penny gaped in shock at Julia. The Lanes want to seek refuge from Nathan and be his follower?
Nathan rejected her politely. "Ms. Lane, please keep your shares and properties. I don't accept followers, and you don't have to pay for my protection."
Julia was getting anxious. "Mr. Cross...”
Nathan waved his hands. "The only thing you have to worry about is that they might take their revenge. Well, if the Lupin family threatens the Lane family, I will deal with them."
Upon hearing that, Julia was overjoyed. She bowed deeply and thanked him profusely, "Thank you, Mr. Cross! Thank you."
Nathan smiled. "Oh, and one more thing. You should talk to President Smith about collaborating with the Cross Group."
Penny added, "That's right. The Cross Group decided that the Lane family will be our representatives in Northania. We hope both parties can benefit from this deal."
Nathan was the General of the North. If the Lanes really became the Cross Group's representative in Northania, nobody would ever dare to threaten them!
Julia said emotionally, "We don't want the profit; we only wish to serve you both."
Penny grinned. "No can do. Business is business. You must receive your fair share."
Next, Penny and Julia discussed the details of the deal they were about to make.
Nathan did not join in on the negotiations. Instead, he went to the hotel's smoking area and lit up a cigarette.
At that moment, Colin appeared out of nowhere and reported to him softly, "General, we found out what happened. Werner came to you to look for trouble because Madam Helen influenced him. The Lane family were collateral damage." Nathan's gaze turned cold. "That woman again! Since we're gonna be in Cledondale for some time, I'll just deal with her."
Colin immediately asked, "Should I mobilize our troops and storm the Cross family's residences now?"
"No. That woman killed my mother and tried several times to kill me as well. I will need to exact my revenge personally."
Colin nodded. "Alright. I understand."
After a moment's silence, Nathan asked, "How's Zayn doing right now?"
