As soon as Brock finished speaking, several police officers came over aggressively to arrest Nathan.
A gloating smile appeared on the faces of Selena, her assistant, and their colleagues.
Upon seeing this, Penny and her family began to panic.
Everyone was now looking at Nathan with pity. They thought he was going to pay for offending a celebrity and a leader.
But, at that moment, a deafening voice was heard shouting, "Stop!"
This loud and powerful yelling stopped the officers in their tracks in fright.
Brock turned around with an angry look on his face and cursed fiercely, "Who's asking them to stop—Oh, General Ferguson, why are you here?"
Everyone at the scene looked at the man in shock. He was a middle-aged man. He was not very tall but had tanned skin and toned muscles. Dressed in the outfits of a lieutenant general, he had an imposing and strong presence.
He was Shaun Ferguson, the commanderin-chief of Glyngarth, also known as General Ferguson.
Behind Shaun was a group of his subordinates, as well as a large troop of heavily armed soldiers with live ammunition.
Glaring at Brock and the others, Shaun reprimanded, "If I hadn't come, you would've been doing anything you want, wouldn't you? How dare you f*****g arrest him? Do you even know who he is?”
Dumbfounded, Brock looked at Nathan, and said bitterly, "General Ferguson, I really don't know who he is. I asked him just now, but he said I don't deserve to know.”
Shaun shouted, "You really don't, because he is-"
Before Shaun could finish his sentence, Nathan suddenly said, "I'm just a veteran who can't stand seeing others insulting the
soldiers."
After being interrupted by Nathan, Shaun was stunned when he heard his words.
He quickly remembered that when he had received the notice of the general's visit to Glyngarth, he had heard that the general was a low-key man.
Now it seemed that the General wanted to keep it quiet; he didn't want to flaunt his identity in public.
Shaun immediately said in a loud voice, "Yes, his name is Nathan Cross. Although he's a veteran, he's not an ordinary veteran. He's made countless merits in the North. The number of medals he has can cover an entire uniform. He's the hero of our army. I admire him the most, as I see him as my idol. Yet, you have the f*****g audacity to arrest the hero of our army and my idol. Do you want to die?"
